  1. Prenatal Development: Teeth development begins during the prenatal stage, with the formation of tooth buds. These tooth buds develop from the dental lamina, which is a band of epithelial tissue in the developing jaw.


  2. Primary (Deciduous) Teeth: Primary teeth, also known as baby teeth or deciduous teeth, begin to erupt around six months of age and continue to emerge until the child is about two to three years old. By age three, most children have a full set of 20 primary teeth—10 in the upper jaw and 10 in the lower jaw.
